We target our readers when we blog, this is too common for every blogger. We write for people with the same interest that we have or sometimes building interest in people who has no interest in our niche. Like what I do, I introduce blogging for people and builds interest for them to engage in it.
BUT no matter how hard I convince people, there are few that can’t understand. Not every people can understand english, not everyone is proficient. So in a simple way, how are you going to extend your hand to them? Use simple words that’s it. Even if a person can’t understand that well, common words may be a way for them to understand.
Remember to whom you are writing, you are writing for every one and not every one is good in your language.

Ahh, yes, this is very true, JP. It’s hard for many non-English speaking people to sometimes understand our full intentions when we write. Just the same, it’s sometimes hard for us English speaking people to understand non-English speaking people when they write English.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tackle about that, the importance of English of every blogger. English speaking bloggers has also the difficulty of understanding them because of the usage of their words and grammar.
It’s an interesting issue, but one that’s not easily solved. For instance, you said to speak simply, but what I’ve found is that most non-native English speaking people miss the nuances of our slang, especially if the words are every day American words being used, well, strangely.
Therefore, I’m thinking it behooves the non-native English speaking audience if we expand out vocabulary and use words that everyone probably should know but doesn’t, words that can only have one meaning and can’t be taken out of context. So, if I said that someone had castigated their audience, it would be easier for someone to look that up and know exactly what it meant rather than say someone was buggin’ and freaked me out.
Does that make sense? lol

I don’t want to sound bias in my article here, I’m not a native English speaker too co’z I am a Filipino.
I forgot to tackle this is my article…Maybe non English speaker should do their best too to understand English Speaking bloggers. It’s not that we should be given the fish every time but we should also learn how to fish, just like English.

Perhaps, considering Mitch’s comment, if a blogger was trying to get something important across, he should refrain from using slang etc, instead using proper English and words more likely to be understood by a greater majority of people.
Reckon that meas I should cut out those post with the Aussie lingo so that more blokes and sheilas would understand what the heck I was raving on about.
