Deion Sanders, former cornerback, who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame next month, will have agent Eugene Parker present him at the Ceremony.
Parker said, “I had a front-row seat over the years to see one of the greatest athletes in history perform. Now, I am honored to present Deion for his enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.”
Parker, who stands for Dallas Cowboys broad receiver Dez Bryant, among others, would not be the only agent launching a player. Rocky Arceneaux will introduce Marshall Faulk.
Presenters send comments in a video compliment prior to joining the player in revealing the bronze ruined.
Others who will be inducted in this class of the year include Shannon Sharpe, Richard Dent, Chris Hanburger, Ed Sabol and Les Richter, who is being protected posthumously.
Sharpe will be introduced by his brother Sterling, the previous Green Bay Packers receiver. Dent chosen Joe Gilliam, his defensive coordinator at Tennessee State, to present him. The previous Washington Redskins linebacker, Hanburger will be introduced by his son, Chris. Steve Sabol, NFL Films president will introduce his father, Ed and Jon Richter will present Les, his late father, Les.
August 6 is the enshrinement ceremony in Canton, Ohio.
It is not unparalleled for agents to present former consumers at their induction. Howard Slusher presented Mike Haynes in 1997, and Leigh Steinberg did no different for Warren Moon in 2006. In 2007, Cowboys possessor Jerry Jones introduced running back Emmitt Smith at his induction, as he did Michael Irvin.
