Steve Williams, the longtime caddy of Tiger Woods, is upset with Woods for sending him away, and he is informing the media about it. The latest interview of New Zealand Herald with Williams illustrates that he is angry that Woods would dismiss him after a two-year period in which Woods dealt with an embarrassing scandal, battled through injury, and played carefully.
“Realistically I could look back, and I’ve wasted the last two years of my life because he’s played infrequently, he’s been injured and played poorly. I was prepared to hang in there through thick and thin so I find the timing extraordinary.”
Williams claims he has not been in contact with Woods since the dismissal. He as well says that he “lost a tremendous amount of respect” for Woods after sex scandal of Woods, which he alleges to have “had no idea” about until after the news break.
Williams is presently working with Australian Adam Scott, who tied for 25th place in the present 2011 British Open and tied for second in the 2001 Masters Tournament.
